The Z Series impellers are available in arrangements of 2 to 16 blades, depending on the speed and volume of the airflow required. The pitch angles range from 20º to 50º in varying increments—the steeper the pitch angle, the higher the static pressure.

The blades can be manufactured in a variety of different materials according to the desired properties, such as UV, vibration, temperature, or corrosion resistance, including glass-reinforced polypropylene (PPG), glass-reinforced polyamide (PAG nylon), anti-static glass-reinforced polyamide (PAGAS nylon), vibration-stabilized glass-reinforced polyamide (PAGST super-tough nylon), and aluminium (AL).  Our plastics-based blades are injection moulded, while all aluminium components are high-pressure die-cast. 

The profile of the Z Series blades varies from airfoil to sickle in increasing arcs. A higher airflow volume and static pressure can be achieved by increasing the curvature of the blade, while maintaining a constant speed, thereby increasing efficiency. Z Series fans can also be fabricated using truly reversible blades to produce equal airflow in both directions, making them perfect for underground applications.
