Clutches for modulating fans in a wide range of applications

We custom design both bi-metal (air sensing) and electronically controlled fan clutches depending on the application requirements.  Electronically controlled fan clutches enable you to engage the fan based on a vast number of controlling factors, such as engine oil, transmission oil, or coolant temperature, which is ideal for low-temperature operating conditions and non-stationary equipment. The bi-metallic sensor systems respond to ambient air temperature and are lighter, more durable, and more sensitive to higher temperatures, making them more suitable for heavy-load applications, such as earth-moving equipment and generators. 

Mounting viscous clutches to your high-performance axial fans facilitates a much wider range of modulation than purely mechanical fans. The drives enable you to run fans on demand instead of perpetually, which puts the engine under a constant load, shortening its service life. Our viscous drives improve energy consumption—and therefore lower carbon emissions—and reduce noise.
