New EMAX4 blade profile now rolling out in South Africa
13 February 2026
We’re rolling out Multi-Wing’s EMAX4 in South Africa – a blade profile Multi-Wing positions as a high-efficiency option, designed to extend the performance range of standard axial blade profiles.
In practical terms, EMAX4 is aimed at delivering the same airflow with less power (or more airflow for the same power), and Multi-Wing also claims a 2–3 dB reduction in noise compared with standard profiles.
That matters in demanding environments like mining and heavy industry, where fans often work in installed conditions – behind radiator cores, inside shrouds, and alongside guards and ducting – not in open “free air”. EMAX4 is engineered to fit Multi-Wing’s existing hub system, keeping the modular benefits: blade count and pitch options, plus add-ons to tune performance to the duty point.
One of our recent builds using this blade profile was a radiator cooling fan for an underground LHD (load–haul–dump) mining machine – a tough, high-duty application where efficiency and reliable airflow are critical.
If you’d like to see whether EMAX4 suits your application, send your diameter, RPM, and target airflow/pressure and we’ll recommend a configuration.
